New York State Digital Equity Network (NYSDEN)

STDEC is a member of the New York State Digital Equity Network (NYSDEN), as are many other regional coalitions around the state.

ConnectAll Office (CAO)

ConnectAll is a $1 billion program, begun by Governor Kathy Hochul, to deliver broadband to all New Yorkers. The ConnectAll Office, with the help of regional coalitions including STDEC, developed the New York State Digital Equity Plan in 2024.

Digital Inclusion Toolkit

The New York State Library, in partnership with the National Digital Inclusion Alliance, created this Digital Inclusion Toolkit to provide libraries and other digital equity organizations of all sizes with practical and useful guidance for furthering digital inclusion partnerships and digital literacy initiatives in local communities throughout New York State. This project was supported with federal American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds allocated to the New York State Library by the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS).

NYS Digital Equity Portal

This interactive tool was created with CARES Act funds allocated to the New York State Library by the Institute of Museum and Library Services. The project team and collaborators included individuals from the John R. Oishei Foundation, Community Technology New York, and the Cornell University ILR School Buffalo Co-Lab.

This portal allows users to select, filter, and view existing data about digital equity, such as the broadband service by census block from Esri’s Living Atlas and the type of internet subscription by household from the U.S. Census American Community Survey from 2015-2019.
